WILLIE WILLIAMS
MASSENA – Willie Williams, 88, a longtime resident of Taylor Road and Rochester passed away Monday afternoon, April 8, 2019 at the home of his caregivers, Patricia and Abe Phillips in Akwesasne.
Willie was born December 5, 1930 in Anderson, South Carolina, the son of Sam and Hattie (Smith) Williams. He was a roofer with Roofer’s Local #22 in Rochester for 43 years. He enjoyed shooting marbles, going to the OTB to watch horse racing, and reading the newspaper.
He was predeceased by his parents, 11 siblings, and his companion of over 30 years, Linda Oakes Hale on September 7, 2014.
He survived by his companion’s children, Robert Oakes of Rochester and Sandra Nichols-Kinney of Brewerton.
