Obituary for Susan Vasser
POTSDAM – Susan Vasser, 68, of 5 Debra Drive, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday morning, January 29, 2019 at her home.
Susan was born September 19, 1950 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late William K. and Mildred L. (Finch) Mitchell. She attended and graduated from Potsdam Central Schools. She first married George Ovigian Jr. on August 15, 1969 in Potsdam, the marriage later ended in divorce and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2013. On April 12, 1991, she married Richard Timothy Vasser in Brighton, Michigan. He predeceased her on December 25, 1996.
Susan was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Potsdam. She enjoyed reading, poetry, and Bible study.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Melissa Z. Clark of Paducah, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren; her sisters, Judy A. Russell of Potsdam; Mary C. Donahue of Potsdam; her brothers, William G. Mitchell of Rockaway, New Jersey; and Terry P. Finch-Mitchell of Forestville, New York; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands and her parents, her was predeceased by a son, George A. Ovigian and a brother, Lawrence W. Mitchell.
At her request, there will be calling hours. A Memorial Talk will be held February 23, 2019, 7:00 PM at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Potsdam.
