Obituary for Caroline A. Stuart (Snyder)

MASSENA – Caroline A. Stuart, 69, of Somerset Ave, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, February 25, 2019 at her home.

Caroline was born September 6, 1949 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Robert and Viola (Green) Snyder. She attended Madrid-Waddington School and later achieved her GED through Potsdam High School.

She worked for many years in the housekeeping department at the St. Lawrence Centre Mall. She also worked for a time at Cornell’s Dry Cleaning and the Village of Massena. She enjoyed reading, had a fondness for Elvis, playing scratch off tickets and bingo, playing on her computer and connecting with friends and family on Facebook. Caroline also cherished the times she was able to spend with her family.

Caroline is survived her children, Alan and Melissa Stuart of Tupper Lake; Anthony Stuart and Crystal Crosbie of Massena; and Susan Stuart Russell of Massena; her grandchildren, Alan Jr. and Scott Stuart, Jenna Munson, Alicia (Geno) Malerva, Samantha Middlemiss (Chance), Spencer Stuart, Jessica Russell, Brayton Deno, Crystal and Britney Woodward; and her great-grandchildren, Jaclyn, Zeke, Philemon, and Braxton.

She is also survived by her sisters, Margie (JW) Williams, Diane (Joseph) Mitchell, Cindy (Kenny) Cooper, Norma Berube, Joann Snyder (Robin Kirhove); her brothers, Roger and Raymond Snyder; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was tragically predeceased by her husband, Kenneth who she married in 1971; her son, William Green, Jr. on August 11, 2006; and her brothers, John and Jessie Snyder.

At her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be celebrating at a time to be announced.
