Charles Angus "Atenrahnoron"  Cook


AKWESASNE – Mr. Charles Angus Cook “Atenrahnoron”, 44, unexpectedly passed away April 14, 2016 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.

Charles was born December 1, 1971 in Rochester, the son of Sandra Lee Cook and the late William Allen Martin and was a graduate of Salmon River Central School.

Charles was currently an ironworker with Local #440 and was working in New York City. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He truly enjoyed the time he spent on the Cook Farm.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra Cook and her companion, Abram “Skip” Herne of Akwesasne; his children, Amber and Skylar Cook; a chosen son, Raven Cook all of British Columbia; his companion, Carry Bero; and her children, Lena, Raymond, Reni, and Rayann Bero; his sister, Christine and Dallas Caldwell of Akwesasne; his brothers, Ronald William and Janie Cook of Six Nations and Michael and Laura Cook of Akwesasne; his half brothers, William Joseph and James Martin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father on August 29, 2004 and his grandparents.

Friends may call at Kanienkehaha Kanonsesneh, Saturday beginning at 3:00 PM until Monday 1:00 PM when his funeral service will be held. Cremation will follow.
