Obituary for Linda May Rivers

LOUISVILLE – Ms. Linda May Rivers, 64, of 13453 State Highway 37, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her home.

Linda was born October 15, 1952 the daughter of the late Bert and Virginia Queor Rivers and attended St. Lawrence Central School.

Linda was a longtime participant of the NYSARC Day Services, volunteering with many Massena agencies including Massena Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. She enjoyed word search puzzles, coloring, watching movies, and shopping for jewelry. She was a very social person and loved to joke around with those in her life.

Linda is survived by her siblings, Dale Rivers of Dickinson; Donna Barrett, Judith Root, Peter Rivers, and Virginia “Ginny” Rivers, all of Massena; her caregiver of 26 years, Marilyn Ayotte; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Judware, and a brother, Paul Rivers.

Friends may call Thursday 12-2:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mark Reilly, officiating. Burial will follow in Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to NYSARC Day Services, 6 Commerce Lane, Canton, NY 13617 or the American Cancer Society.
