EDWARD MICHAEL LOGAN
AKWESASNE- Edward Michael Logan, 30, of Akwesasne, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in Syracuse.
Edward, a Haudenosaunee, was born September 9, 1987, in Syracuse, son of John David Logan and Marlene Diabo Logan. He attended Paul V. Moore High School and also studied Agriculture and Horticulture.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with his father, and fishing, often saying “I caught more fish than you lie about.” He enjoyed playing chess and doing puzzles, and was an avid reader and loved to write poetry. He loved being an uncle, and spending time with his nephews, nieces, and friends, as time spent with family was most important to him.
Besides his parents, John and Marlene, Edward is survived by his sisters, Robin Logan of Cornwall Island; Charlotte Logan of Jamesville, NY; and Ashley Logan of Akwesasne; and his brother John David Logan Jr., and his wife Tara of Akwesasne; his nieces and nephews, Ariwiiostha, Arielle, Adrien, Donald, Addison, River, Katherine, Jonnie, and Elliana; paternal grandmother Lorna Jones; and several cousins; and his father’s wife, Jackie Old-Coyote Logan.
Edward was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Charlotte M. Diabo; and John and Louise Cree Mitchell; his maternal great-great grandmothers, Annie Diabo; and Elizabeth Cree; and paternal grandfathers, Owen Jones, and Irving Logan; and a cousin, Jonathan Diabo.
Friends may call at the home of Aunt Jean Jacobs, 13 Johnson Road, Akwesasne beginning Wednesday at 8:00 PM until Friday, 10:00 AM when funeral services will be held. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, St. Regis, QC.
Some people’s lights shine too bright, and this was true for Edward.
